Shoaib Akhtar said Kapil Dev did not understand my statement. Former Pakistani Speedstar said he doesn’t think Kapil Bhai understand my statement over the three-match ODI series between India and Pakistan.
Shoaib Akhtar recently proposed a three-match ODI series between India and Pakistan to raise funds in the fight with Coronavirus.
After Shoaib Akhtar’s proposal, legendary All-Rounder Kapil Dev slammed the former Pakistani Speedstar proposal.
Kapil said, “India doesn’t need the money and it’s not worth risking life for a cricket match.”
“I don’t think Kapil Bhai understood what I was trying to say. Everyone is going to be trapped economically soon. This is the right time to put our heads together and generate revenues.” Shoaib Akhtar told Aaj Tak.
Akhtar said that he was talking that keep in mind larger prospective and economic reforms.
“I’m talking about the larger perspective about economic reforms. Audiences will be hooked about a single match and it will generate revenues. Kapil said he doesn’t need money, surely he doesn’t. But everyone else does.” Shoaib Akhtar told Aaj Tak.
Former Speedstar also said that he Know India more than Pakistan’s current Prime Minister Imran Khan. Akhtar had seen the poverty in both sides e.i, India and Pakistan.
“I had said that I know India more than Imran Khan (Prime Minister) himself. I have traveled to many areas and interacted with people there. I keep telling what Indians are all about. Our countries have a lot of poverty. I am saddened when people are suffering. As a human being and as a Muslim, it is my responsibility to help as much as I can,” Shoaib spoke to Aaj Tak.
Shoaib Akhtar has been very vocal about the issues on his youtube channel. Time and time he spoke about all the issues Pakistan suffering.
“After Pakistan, I have received a maximum of love from India. I am forever grateful for the love I have received from India. I have traveled the whole of India (almost), from Himachal Pradesh to Kerala to Uttarakhand,” Shoaib Akhtar said.
Former Pakistani bowler clarifies that Kapil Dev misunderstood his statement over a three-match series.
“I was only asking what options we have if anything not happens for the next five or six months. What will all the people do, who are employed because of cricket? What will happen to those people whose livelihoods depend on cricket? Time has come to put our heads together, to plan on how we will generate revenues.”
“The only option we have is holding a fundraising match. Maybe it leads to betterment in the relationship. I am talking about a larger perspective.” Shoaib Akhtar said this after Indian Legend Kapil Dev slammed him.
