Shoaib Akhtar justifies his saying by giving the reason that several countries don’t have the satisfactory testing kits so there can be no planning be done and no cricket series can be held.
The whole world is currently in the lockdown situation and Shoaib Akhtar doesn’t see any cricket action for the next year.
Earlier Shoaib Akhtar proposed a three-match ODI series between India and Pakistan to raise funds in the fights with the novel coronavirus.
Shoaib Akhtar’s proposal is widely criticized by the many ex-cricketer.
Former India All-Rounder Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar lashes out on Shoaib Akhtar for his proposal.
After that Shoaib made it clear that his statement was not understood.

“Honestly if you asked me, guys, I don’t know how long it will last ( Coronavirus), until and unless it is not known that how many people got infected, one can’t go with any kind of cricket activity around the world.” Shoaib Akhtar said on his Youtube channel.
“I don’t see cricket being played until the next year due to deadly COVID-19. But we as a group are different communities will come out of it. The world is not going to start for the next year, so how can Cricket start.” Akhtar said on his Youtube channel.
The whole world is currently going through the phase of lockdown thus it halted all the major sports events.
Tokyo Olympic, Wimbledon, Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, and other major sports event has been canceled due to coronavirus.
This deadly virus affected all the world. In India, over 17,000 people got affected by the COVID-19.
Over 500 people reported to death by a novel coronavirus.
